Ok, i need some shout outs, WHY as the wife do we feel the dying obligation to feed our grown husbands?
Is it just me but why do I feel the super obligation to feed my husband in the same regard as my children? Once they married did they forget to care for themselves? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind making dinner and other meals but I do mind when I do prepare a meal and it sits and sits...and gets cold. I know it doesn't help that I was raised to eat when its time to eat e.g 12 is lunch, 5 is dinner, etc...rather than eating b/c hunger strikes. but dude, there is a disconnect somewhere. sometimes i wish a bowl of cereal would do rather than eggs and the fixings but when i do go all the way and it gets cold....oh boy....i can't help but to blow my top. anybody feel me or i am i looney.

i totally feel you.....i went out of my way to get everything i needed to make a dinner especially for my hubby and yes it sat there...and then on top of that there were issues with either the things i made or the things i forgot to include...we are that family the dad eats out of hunger like you mentioned, and the rest of us try to eat on a schedule...sometimes i totally feel as though i waste my time when i cook for him....it is definitley a frustration....the one thing that he does do is eat cereal like there's no tommorow because he doesn't seem to like anything else....i guess i just have to breathe....

Been there! Must be a primal instinct or something. My hubby has a habit of drinking a protein shake right before dinner so of course he can't eat after that. He will at least sit at the table with the rest of us. But I wont lie - it still bugs me.
Also when I cook something that doesn't suit his tast buds he won't really say anything but he makes these awful faces as he is graciously eating at least a few bites.
